Loan Originator in Commercial Real Estate Finance Industry

Progress Capital Advisors, a Monmouth County, NJ based commercial real estate brokerage company is looking for an experienced Loan Originator to maintain their existing client portfolio and originate new relationships for our growing firm. Our market coverage centers around the Tri-State area including NY (with an emphasis on Manhattan and the Boroughs), NJ and PA. This full-time individual has the potential for significant earnings on a commission basis, and would qualify for benefits including medical and 401K.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Underwrite, package and submit loan proposals for Lender consideration
  • Negotiate loan terms on behalf of the client
  • Work with borrower and attorneys through the closing process
  • Site visits with Appraisers and Environmental Firms when necessary
  • Knowledge of current rates and trends in the commercial market
  • Prepare / update client Financial Statements and REO schedules as necessary
  • Provide documents for Appraisal and Environmental reports


  • Five years commercial real estate mortgage origination experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business-related field
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, time management and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and motivated team player
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Licensed Real Estate Salesperson a plus
